This second edition of the Guide to the Architecture of Rome is an invitation to discover the unsung architectural treasures of Rome when strolling down the Art Nouveau neighborhood of Prati to the Lungotevere, or through the modern EUR district, this guide is the only one to explore the architecture of the entire cit. It presents the works of Apollodorus of Damascus, Emperor Hadrian, Bramante, Peruzzi, Raphael, Michelangelo, Borromini, Bernini, Vanvitelli, Koch, Moretti, Piacentini, Meier, Fuksas, and many other prominent names in architecture. The volume is suited with over 550 color photographs, detailed maps for each district which the author has cleverly weaved with a thread of information for each of monument giving throughout description of the architectural features which attribute it to the specific period and style such as: Ancient, Low and High Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Modern, and Contemporary. Each period has color identifiers in order to make them easy to locate on the maps.
